Arkive have quickly established themselves as a powerhouse in the technical heavy music scene and are excitedly soon to become one of its most sonically intricate and technically exceptional exports.
Since formation in 2014, Arkive quickly went on to drop their striking self-titled EP, capturing critics and fans alike, soon forming relationships and touring alongside the like of Make Them Suffer, Buried In Verona and Capture The Crown.
After solidifying their place within the Australian heavy music, they hunkered down in Oakland Studios alongside Beau McKee and Jamie Marinos to commence writing the next phase of their music career, the Sonder EP.
Debut single Acquiescence enlisted the help of vocalist Marcel Gadacz (Dream On Dreamer) and quickly turned heads with the bands renewed vigour and ferocity, and yet again set a new bar for technical ability.
Follow up single Luminous however cemented the band both within Australia and outside of it, with a video that quickly gained the attention of YouTube Channel Dreambound, Luminous was propelled in front of a international audience and the views and positive reviews came in flying.
With eyes on the band, they quickly jumped on stages alongside heavy music heroes Four Year Strong and Miss May I, as well as taking on stages alongside fellow Australia’s own heavyweights, Deez Nuts, Earth Caller and Ocean Sleeper.
Arkive have quickly found themselves in an enviable position with a star on the horizon and a sound that is only growing.
